In-House Library Management

BDR staff are available to work in your library on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Our contracts with each of our client firms are based on the specific services required. Our services can include:

  • Library maintenance—keeping materials organized so architects and designers can find what they need when we are not there
  • Proactively keep materials current
  • Keep necessary references up to date and order references as required
  • Establish a check-out system for references & design books
  • Manage magazine subscriptions and all other annually renewable resources
  • Meet with manufacturer reps for updating
  • Ordering material samples
  • Manage the schedule of continuing education programs, lunch & learns and informal presentations, relevant to each firm’s work (we also do this as an independent service unrelated to on-site library services); perform in-house host duties
  • Manage firm’s AIA providership for continuing education
  • Consult with staff when we are there on project related material needs
  • Consult with staff and do research on sustainable material options
  • Maintain a “new products” area
