Building and Design Resources is a group of resource specialists (with backgrounds in architecture, library science and architectural history) serving architects. interior design professionals and others in the building industry. Our mission is to provide essential information services to help you work more efficiently and to help you stay informed about new materials and technologies and other resources relevant to your work. We do this through our professional services provided in your office or by contacting us directly and through our web resources.
Our professional services are tailored to each of our clients firms; over time, their libraries change continually, reflecting both the firm’s evolving work and the materials available. Our web resources do the same. We make changes to the materials database, the reps directory, and the consultants directory daily, noting changes in reps, adding new materials, and increasing information about sustainable products. We also respond to all our users’ comments and suggestions. Our web users have the ability to customize the primary databases and directories to reflect their own libraries or their favorites. Coming - Discuss is a place for our website users to post and discuss questions or comments about building materials. You might be looking for a reliable alternative to a building or finish material that you are having problems with, or may want to specify a material you have not specified before and would appreciate comments from others who have had experience with the material in question. It’s a place to share our collective knowledge.
